1. Who is responsible
Hands For Homes (Hands For Homes) is responsible for the personal information handled on this site. Person in charge of privacy: Privacy Officer, kzadi15@gmail.com.
2. What we collect
- Account: name, email, mobile number, city and province, language, password (encrypted).
- Bookings: date, job address, postal code, description, messages, reviews.
- Pros: trade, profile text, prices, work photos, photo ID, licence or insurance documents, subscriptions and payments.
- Technical: IP address and security logs (to prevent fraud and abuse).
Card payments are processed by Stripe: we never see or store your card number.
3. Why we use it
To provide the service (search, booking, texts and emails about your bookings), check profiles, bill subscriptions, prevent fraud and meet our legal obligations. We send promotional messages only if you agreed to receive them, and every one lets you unsubscribe.
4. Who sees it
The pro's number is shown to the customer, and the customer's number and address to the pro, only after the booking is accepted. Only our team sees photo IDs, licence and insurance documents and proof of payment. We use providers (hosting, text and email delivery, payments) only as far as the service needs. Some may store data outside your province or outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to that country's authorities. We do not sell your information.
5. Retention and security
We keep your information while your account is open, then for as long as the law requires (for example, six years for accounting records). Photo IDs are deleted after checking if you ask us to. Passwords are encrypted, access is limited and connections are secure. If a privacy breach creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify you and the relevant authorities.
6. Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your information, withdraw your consent and, in Quebec, ask for your information in a portable format. Write to kzadi15@gmail.com: we reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, in Quebec, the Commission d'accès à l'information.
7. Cookies
We use only the cookies the site needs to work (login session, chosen language). No advertising cookies.
