1. Who we are

Hands For Homes is a platform run by Hands For Homes, Street address, City, Province, Postal code. It connects customers with independent tradespeople and contractors across Canada.

2. Our role

Hands For Homes is an intermediary. The contract for the work is made directly between the customer and the pro, who are responsible for the price, the quality of the work, warranties and payment. Hands For Homes takes no commission on jobs and is not a party to that contract.

3. Accounts

You must be 18 or older, give accurate information and keep your password private. A verified mobile number is required to book or to be listed.

4. Pros' obligations

Pros hold the licences, permits, registrations and insurance that their province and municipality require for the work they offer (for example a licence from the Régie du bâtiment du Québec, or an electrical or gas licence), and follow the workplace health and safety rules that apply to them. They give accurate information about their experience and prices, reply to requests within a reasonable time and keep confirmed appointments.

Badges mean only this: "ID verified", our team has seen a government photo ID; "Licensed", we have seen a licence or registration document; "Insured", we have seen an insurance certificate valid on the date shown. They do not guarantee the quality of the work. Customers remain free to check with the licensing body themselves.

5. Pro subscriptions

A pro appears in search only during an active subscription or free trial. Subscriptions paid by card renew automatically at the end of each period (month or year) until cancelled, which you can do at any time from your pro space; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. Interac e-Transfer payments cover a single period and do not renew. Prices are in Canadian dollars, plus applicable taxes. Unless the law requires otherwise, partial periods are not refunded.

6. Reviews

Only a customer whose booking was completed can leave a review. Reviews must be honest and must not contain abuse or personal information. We may hide a review that breaks these rules.

7. Prohibited use

You may not post a fake profile or fake reviews, use contact details obtained here for anything other than the booking, or get around our security measures. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Hands For Homes does not guarantee the result of the work and is not liable for damage arising from the relationship between the customer and the pro. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law, including Quebec's Consumer Protection Act.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, except where your own province's law must apply. Contact: kzadi15@gmail.com.
